The 38-day expedition saw the 8 women, some of whom had never even seen snow before, enduring eighty-mile-an-hour winds, frostbite and daily injuries whilst skiing across the cracking ice, which revealed deadly crevasses beneath. Road to Bali: From Javanese Temples to Balinese Dance

This lecture describes Borobodur and its discovery by Raffles, the artistic, enlightened colonial administrator whose name is synonymous with a luxury hotel rather than the greatest Buddhist temple in the world. Joe Longthorne

This talented artist began his career over three decades ago with appearances on Junior Showtime, followed by a grounding on the tough Northern club circuit. His big break came in 1981 when he was a finalist on London Weekend Television's Search for a Star - this lead to appearances at the London Palladium with Bob Hope and The Talk of the Town. A short time later, Joe received the Variety Club of Britain award as Most Promising Artiste of the Year. Television specials in the UK and USA followed. Joe's repertoire of voices is endless and includes hundreds of the world's top singers, however, he is perhaps best known for his impersonation of Shirley Bassey who has commented, "Joe can do me better than I can do myself". During his career, Joe has received gold and platinum discs for his albums, enjoyed sell-out concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as touring Australia several times. Now, Joe is looking forward to new challenges, new songs to sing and new audiences to thrill.

    EDINBURGH FESTIVAL PREVIEW

    IAN D MONTFORT.

Described by Time Out as 'a spookily skilful, wonderfully observed and hysterically funny character' in a 5 star review, Ian is the Sunderland psychic who channels dead famous people. He performed a critically acclaimed sold out run at Edinburgh Festival in both 2009 and 2011 and will be previewing his 2012 show which mixes eerily good cold-reading skills with a joyful debunking of the genre.

    IAN BRACKENBURY.

Ivan is a truly bizarre and twisted comic creation, a hilariously inept hospital radio D.J with delusions of grandeur that would make even Dave Lee Travis blush. Described by Chris Evans as 'a comedy genius', his show has wowed punters at festivals all over the world and created a frenzy at the Edinburgh Festival where he won the coveted 'Spirit Of The Fringe' Award and was nominated for the If.comedy Best Show Award

    Sing-a-long-a Grease

The brand new sing along version of the classic film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John brought to you by the producers of Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music

Ever wanted to know what it's like to be a T-bird or a Pink Lady but never quite felt cool enough to pull it off? Well, now is your chance to don those pink jackets, grease up those quiffs and let your inhibitions go for an evening where you are the stars and remember GREASE is the word...

The evening begins with your host leading a vocal warm-up before they show you how to use your free goody bag. You'll even get a chance to learn how to hand jive.

Then just sit back and watch Danny & Sandy and the gang, while singing and dancing along to the lyrics as shown on the screen.

It couldn’t be easier... or more fun! Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and full audience participation essential.
